The Sun Valley Fabric Granary in Hailey is offering the summer sewing camps for 9-year-old kids and older, taught by Lori Stroebel.
All camps cost $150 and include materials and a snack.
Bobbin Winders (beginners) introduction to sewing takes place Monday through Thursday, June 17-20, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Kids will bring home 2-3 finished projects.
Zig-Zaggers (Intermediate sewing skills) will take place on July 15-18, Monday through Thursday, from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. This will be an opportunity to improve sewing skills and bring home finished projects.
My First Quilt is another 4-day workshop on July 29 through Aug. 1, Monday-Thursday from 10:30-1:30 p.m. Kid will use pre-cuts to make their first quilt.
Students will need to provide their own sewing machines and basic sewing supplies such as pins, thread and scissors. A limited number of sewing machines will be available for rental.
