Costumed revelers gather in Ketchum on a chilly Saturday night, during the annual Nightmare on Main Street pre-Halloween party. The event featured music by DJ Train, DJ Doc Roc and Juarez, a mesmerizing laser show and a costume contest. “That was my favorite Nightmare On Main Street,” said Brent Russell, aka DJ Doc Roc. “It was such a rager! … You gotta love the fun-loving Wood River Valley that likes to freakin’ get up and get down!”

Scary volunteers Caleb Smith and ShyAn Collins take a break from their theatrical roles of terrifying people at Bellevue’s annual Haunted Forest, in the Howard Preserve. More than 500 tickets were sold over two days, with proceeds benefitting the Bellevue community. “We can’t thank our amazing volunteers enough,” said co-organizer Sara Burns. “Their dedication in preparing, setting up and sticking it out in the very cold weather is truly something to behold.”
