Volunteer and Girl Scout Sasha Stahoski bonds with ball python Boris at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden’s annual Bug Zoo on Saturday. “The snakes and reptiles are fun for the kids to see, since they don’t normally get to see a ball python or a Himalayan hissing cockroach every day,” the organization’s Executive Director Jen Smith said. The Bug Zoo features a variety of insects, reptiles, amphibians and other critters for kids and youths to learn about. Bug Zoo Fest II and Arbor Day at the garden will take place on Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
