About 280 guests and 50 volunteers enjoyed perfect weather and wide-open views from Mountain Humane’s new campus Wednesday during Dog Days of Summer, the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year. “I’ve heard so many rave reviews from our supporters—from seeing the animals in the pet parade, bidding on amazing silent and live auction items, to enjoying a stellar meal by CK’s—this was our most successful event ever,” said Executive Director Dr. Jo-Anne Dixon, though she said an exact accounting of money raised has not yet been done. Volunteers Donna Longo, left, and Sandy Berk donned green Mountain Humane shirts and introduced two pups to attendees Patricia Pemberton, seated, and Theresa Pemberton, behind.
