The elegant, light-filled space occupied by PURE Medical Spa in Hailey radiates serenity and calm—with an ambiance that is far more “spa” than “medical.” Though it doesn’t feel at all clinical, there is serious science behind the procedures offered here, which are performed by a professional and experienced staff.
Founder Julie Acarregui, CEO and medical director, is a board-certified registered nurse anesthetist who specializes in medical cosmetic aesthetics and laser applications. She has been recognized among the top 10 cosmetic injectors in the Northwest by Galderma and top 20 in the United States. Julie is an expert in Sculptra Aesthetic, an all-natural injectable poly-L-lactic acid that creates more youthful-looking skin by encouraging the body to create more collagen, thereby filling out lines and wrinkles. Acarregui is a national clinical educator for the Galderma Aesthetic Injector Network (GAIN) and conducts training sessions in plastic surgeons’ and dermatologists’ offices around the nation.
“People have bad connotations with certain cosmetic treatments. No one wants fake or frozen. My goal for every client is to help them look refreshed, relaxed and well-rested, not ‘done,’” Acarregui said. “People in this valley want natural, and Sculptra is 100 percent natural. I get so much personal satisfaction helping people age gracefully. I love it when they like the way they look and feel. I’ve never been a good salesperson, but I truly believe in what I do. The best form of advertising is to make a client happy.”
PURE Medical Spa offers many options, from prescriptive-level skin-care products and laser procedures to cosmetic injectables.
“My job is to educate people on their options. We have the ability to look good and to feel good,” said Acarregui, who has opened offices in Meridian and Mountain Home. “I build relationships, and many of my clients have told me that I helped them feel beautiful and gave them their confidence back.”
