I should add that ~70% of eagles (400) are killed every year by power lines. US eagle population is estimated to be around 350,000. Should we give up electricity as well? Extremist views are great for publicity but actually hurt our ability to come up with reasonable solutions.
Is this a George Santos moment for you? CA surveys suggest ~1000 eagles in the state spread across 41 of 50-something counties...so about 20 per county. 2000 kills with only 1000 birds and the majority of CA windpower in only a couple of those counties. Hmmm?
