Coached by Jason Haugen with assistants Bill Sprong and Tyler Davis-Jeffers, the Team Idaho U14 girls’ hockey select team went 5-0 in games played at Bozeman, Mt. against Select girls’ hockey squads from Montana and Wyoming. Eight Sun Valley Youth Hockey girls were members of Team Idaho U14.

Team Idaho U14 backstopped by goalie Grendel Sprong (77 saves, 1 shutout, 5 games) won 4-1, 3-1 and 5-1 over Team Wyoming, and 3-0 and 3-1 over Montana. Leading scorers were SVYH’s Charlotte Davis-Jeffers (6 goals/2 assists) and Maeve O’Connell (5/1). Other locals were Laura Daves (2/0), Charlotte Andrews (1/0) and Amanda Dunn (0/2), with Avery Burrell and Devon McAvoy providing valuable time.

Rounding out Team Idaho at Bozeman last weekend were Boise’s Nomo Barrett (0/1), Olivia Cooper (3/1), Bryn Haugen (1/0), Kelly Wold and Anna Wold, and Moscow’s Amanda Pouchnik (0/1).
