Sun Valley Youth Hockey (SVYH) has two teams in the 10-team Sun Valley U19 and U14 home tournament Friday through Sunday, Feb. 7-9. Five games are at Sun Valley Skating Center, and 17 games at Hailey’s Campion Ice House.

SVYH teams play all their games at Campion this weekend. A total 22 games are scheduled covering the U19 and U14 age groups.

The SVYH U19s play Friday at 5:15 p.m. against Utah Lady Grizz, also Saturday at 11 a.m. against Missoula (Mt.) and 4:45 p.m. against Salmon. The older SVYH girls play their fourth and final preliminary Sunday at 9:45 a.m. with Idaho Falls. The U19 championship game is set for Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

SVYH U14s face off against Boise Friday at 6:45 p.m., meet Jackson Hole (Wyo.) Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and Idaho Falls Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Their final preliminary is Sunday at 11:15 a.m. with Missoula. U14 title game is Sunday at 2 p.m.

Over the Jan. 24-26 weekend, SVYH U19s went 1-2-1 at a six-team outdoor tournament on Salmon’s outdoor rink. SVYH goalie Grendel Sprong made 105 saves over the four games. Leading scorers were Charlotte Davis-Jeffers (4 goals/2 assists), Penelope Weekes (3/0) and Maeve O’Connell (2/1).
