It’s time to sign up for the Ketchum Coed Soccer League.
The 2019 summer season of Wednesday evening recreational games in the north valley begins June 12 at Ketchum’s Atkinson Park and Dumke Family Sun Valley Community School Sagewillow Farms campus pitch.
League fee is $65 per person until Monday, June 3, and then rises to $85 from June 3 through the registration deadline of Sunday, June 9.

Sawtooth Relay arrives June 8 in Ketchum
Hundreds of runners will pile into Ketchum’s Atkinson Park on the afternoon of Saturday, June 8 for the final stretch of the 61.9-mile Sawtooth Relay from Stanley to Ketchum. It is the 28th annual event.
Athletes on relay teams begin their trek in Stanley anywhere from 12 midnight to 9 a.m. June 8, and arrive at Atkinson Park between 12 noon and 5 p.m. There will be music, food and fun at the park.
Sawtooth Relay is a fundraiser for Racing Unlimited, an Idaho non-profit.
Real estate group ready for “Golf to Give” June 7
Benefiting its popular Holiday Baskets program, the Sun Valley Board of Realtors will hold its “Golf to Give” fundraising tournament Friday, June 7 at the Sun Valley Resort Trail Creek golf course.
Registration takes place at noon followed by the 1 p.m. shotgun start. Cost is $140 per person. Registration includes the 18-hole round of golf with cart, driving range, a box lunch and prizes. Planned after the tourney is a live auction and raffle.
Goal is to raise $30,000 for Holiday Baskets. Every dollar raised helps low-income Blaine County families during the holidays by providing a meal for the family and warm clothing, toys, books and toothbrushes for their children.
All-League and All-State track and field picks are announced
All-Conference prep track and field picks from the 4th District include these local student/athletes:
Sophia Mazzoni of Sun Valley Community School (800-meter, 1600m, 3200m); Will McGonigal of Wood River (3200m); Samantha McFadyen from Camas County of Fairfield (high jump); Brigham Parke, Hunter Smith and Ashton Sparrow of Carey (high jump); Brayden Olson and Christian Bothwell of Wood River (high jump); Brittany Conrad of Carey (shotput); Megan Tews and Priscilla Williamson of Camas (discus).
All-State selections were McFadyen (100m, 200m, 400m, high jump); Mazzoni (800m, 3200m); Bailie Morey of Carey (110m high hurdles); state champion Brigham Parke (high jump); state champion Brittany Conrad (shotput); and Carey’s 4x100m relay (Max Dilworth, Porter Mecham, Smith and Parke).
