Two members of the Sun Valley 5B swim team captured a total six first-place finishes during the 2017 Snake River Swimming Summer Championships staged July 21-23 at the Twin Falls City Pool.

Zach Deal, 16, won five events in the Men’s 15-and-over class. Deal won 100 fly, 50 and 100 breast, 200 and 400 free. He was second 100 free and third 50 free.

The highly anticipated annual long course meter event drew teams throughout south-central Idaho and northern Nevada. Coach Brian Gallagher’s year-round 5B squad qualified 12 swimmers to the finals in three days of events.
