Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation cross-country ski racers savored the snow last week during the West Yellowstone Ski Festival in Montana.

     College and ski club competitors took part in Saturday’s 10-kilometer and 5k Nordic races that finished the week of early-season on-snow training.

     SVSEF’s Johnny Hagenbuch, a U.S. Nordic Development team racer, placed second in the men’s 10k behind University of Utah racer Samuel Hendry (28:07). Hagenbuch (28:11) was the top U-20 racer, four seconds off Hendry’s pace.
