Thirty-one Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation alpine racers, mostly in U-12 classes, ran gates at Bogus Basin near Boise Feb. 1-2 at the 53rd annual Cranston Cup Intermountain North Series slaloms.

SVSEF U-12 Ruby Smith won both girls’ slaloms among 56 racers, by 4.1 and 1.85 seconds. U-12 Jay Blackburn placed second and third in the 52-racer boys’ field. U-12 Tommy Hovey finished second.

Smith won the overall Cranston Cup girls’ honor, and Blackburn was second for boys.
