On a beautiful fall day for a footrace, 13 Wood River High School cross country runners participated in a field of 241 thinclads from eight southern Idaho schools for Wednesday’s Burley Hope 3.1-miler at Kasota Park in Heyburn.

     Posting their best results of the season in third and fourth place overall of 111 varsity girls were Wood River freshman Lizzy Lipman (21:18) and senior Sage Holter (21:24).

     They helped coach Monte Brothwell’s Wolverines from Hailey into fourth place in the Burley Hope girls’ team standings.

     Wolverine senior Anthony Corrales (18:15) placed 15th among the 130 boys. Other results for Wednesday’s 5,000-meter races:
