On Halloween, I had over 50 “trick or treaters” come to my door in Northridge. There were some amazing costumes—a frog, several witches, a visitor from another planet, a crocodile, several unicorns and many spooky monsters.

I enjoyed and was impressed with all of them, but what impressed me the most was how incredibly polite every one of my visitors were. We chatted about how the candy will put “sugar bugs” in their teeth and they need to brush well. Several, including the daughter of a dentist, said they floss—yeah! I had a spooky outfit on, so that added to the fun.

I compliment all who came and I want to say a special “thank you” to the parents of these goblins. They have really taught their children well.
