Regarding your opinion piece in the May 29th edition of the Idaho Mountain Express titled “States should approve national popular vote plan,” your editorial smacks of the whining we have endured from those who cannot, or will not, accept the results of our last presidential election.

Do we really want the states of California and New York to determine who will be our next president from now on? You only have to look at the mess politicians of those states have made of it to answer a resounding “No!” I would rather trust the good judgment of those who wrote our constitution.
