I have known Mike David since 2005 when he was executive director of the Blaine County Housing Authority and I was a Blaine County commissioner. We worked together on the development of affordable housing. It turned out that we permitted a lot of affordable-housing units during those boom years, only to see them vanish during the tragic bankruptcies that shut the doors of homeowners and developers alike.

Now, almost 15 years later, Mike David as a Ketchum city councilor remains actively committed to this issue. He also supports better air service through our 1 Percent for Air and improvements to our public transit system, Mountain Rides. Housing and transportation services are key to attracting new businesses, housing will help our workforce, and both increase the vibrancy of our tourist economy.

Ketchum’s decisions affect residents up and down the Wood River Valley. Mike has the depth of knowledge of our community, experience in Ketchum governance, and takes a regional view. He listens and works hard. I hope you will vote to re-elect Mike David.

Sarah Michael, Blaine County
