Priscilla Johnson passed away on Wednesday, Christmas Day, 2019, after a protracted decline. She was 95 years old.

She had deep roots in the Midwest but spent many of her later years in Sun Valley. She was involved in local book clubs and writing clubs and loved going to and supporting the local Sun Valley Symphony with her husband and partner for life, William Johnson. Her family remembers her for her humor and wit, her voracious appetite for reading—she read an average of three books a week for most of her adult life—and her openness and warmth around friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband and survived by two sons, Roy and Mark; one daughter, Priscilla; an adopted son, Guenter; and nine grandchildren.

One of her grandchildren, Sam, lives in Boise and visited her nearly weekly for years in her assisted living facility in Eagle, Idaho. He has left a short recorded history of those visits for those who might appreciate such a thing at #pricelesspriscilla on Instagram.

A private memorial service is planned for later this year. She is greatly missed.
