Preston Strazza, of Vero Beach, Fla., passed away on July 11, 2019.
Preston was born in Montclair, N.J., on Nov. 19, 1931. He and his wife, Cathy, were residents of Ketchum for many years.
Preston was a graduate of Colgate University and later attended Officer Candidate School in Newport, R.I., serving in the Navy during the Korean War. After his service in the Navy, he was president of a German-owned manufacturing company in New Jersey. He retired to Sun Valley, where he and Cathy lived for 23 years. While here, he served as chairman of the board for St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center, and was president of the Sun Valley Summer Symphony. Preston and Cathy later moved to Vero Beach, where Cathy had grown up.
The Strazzas were married for almost 60 years. Preston will always be remembered as a gentleman and true friend; he lived his life with honesty, integrity and dignity. His sense of humor endeared him to all who knew him.
Preston is survived by his wife, daughter, son and daughter-in-law, and four grandchildren.
Donations in Preston’s memory may be sent to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center. As per his wishes, all services will be private.
