Karl Beznoska, born in Kitzbuhel, Austria, died of cancer in Boise, Idaho, on Dec. 1, 2018.

Karl was a longtime resident of Ketchum, Idaho. As a young man, he emigrated to Australia, where he lived for several years before journeying on to the United States and eventually moving to Sun Valley to work as a ski instructor. Karl loved to hike, ski and play tennis. He was a true adventurer who loved to travel, to explore the world.

He is survived by his only son, Thomas Karl Beznoska, and daughter-in-law, Maureen, who live in Boise, Idaho; his sister, Brigette; and his two nephews, Robert and Walter, who are currently living in Austria.

Graveside services will be conducted at noon, Saturday, Dec. 8, in the Ketchum Cemetery, 1026 N. Main Street, Ketchum. A celebration of life will immediately follow at 1 p.m., at the Limelight Hotel, 151 S. Main St., in Ketchum. Share a photo or memory at woodriverchapel.com.
