This year’s warm season was capped off at the end of August by the multiday Summer’s End music festival. Dozens of bands performed in numerous locations in Bellevue, Hailey and Ketchum. The event was a tremendous success, bringing music from all over to the Wood River Valley.
To ensure a follow-up can take place in 2020, fundraising is already beginning. Music lovers will have the opportunity to contribute to the Summer’s End funds on Thursday, Dec. 5, at the Sun Valley Brewery, 202 N. Main St., Hailey.
Doors open at 7 p.m. with music by Portland, Ore., band World’s Finest to light up the place from 8:30-11 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults. Children under 16 will be admitted free. Attendees will enjoy music, food, drinks and prizes in a silent auction.
World’s Finest is a five-piece band who have branded themselves “dance floor instigators.” Since 2011, the group has dominated music festivals and clubs across the West. Their string-centric sound and bluegrass-inspired compositions merge with funk, dub, trance and even a little punk and ska.
Tickets can be purchased at the door. All proceeds will help guarantee that Summer’s End will take place as planned on Aug. 22, 2020.
