Beginning today, Aug. 26, Wolftone Road, on the south side of Deer Creek Road about 8 miles from state Highway 75, will be closed for about two weeks.
According to the Ketchum Ranger District, crews are removing tailings from the MG Smith Mill site. The work is being completed using the road due to the location of the tailings and loaded into heavy dump trucks. There will be heavy dump truck traffic on Deer Creek Road during this time, so people are urged to use caution when traveling the main Deer Creek Road. People are also asked to stay out of the Wolftone area during this time for their safety, as well as for that of the workers in the area.
