The tourism marketing organization Visit Sun Valley will hold its biannual community meeting at The Community Library in Ketchum on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will evaluate the Wood River Valley’s summer and fall tourism seasons while forecasting winter market trends.
Also known as the Sun Valley Marketing Alliance, Visit Sun Valley—a nonprofit—was formed in 2011 to raise awareness of recreational opportunities in and near Ketchum, Sun Valley and Sun Valley Resort.
Visit Sun Valley receives a portion of its funding from the city of Ketchum, which recently reduced the organization’s marketing appropriation by 9 percent for fiscal year 2020. It also receives funding via the 1 Percent for Air local-option tax and various statewide grants.
