Crews constructing the road and path improvement projects in the city of Sun Valley have stopped working this week for the Fourth of July holiday.
Workers have been busy in several areas of the town since May as part of a $17.5 million bond measure approved by voters in November 2017. The projects will be completed in phases this summer.
The city will resume work on the week of July 8, but opted to skip working the week of the Fourth of July due to expected increases in traffic.
Once the work resumes, residents should expect “minor and temporary delays” due to single lanes, a city newsletter states.
“As construction takes place, surface conditions will range from rough milled asphalt surface to compacted gravel,” the newsletter states. “All roads will be reopened to two-way traffic at the end of each construction day.”
