The Sun Valley Air Service Board will hold a public hearing Wednesday, July 31, on its proposed fiscal 2020 budget of $3.17 million. The board gets revenue from the 1 Percent for Air local-option tax and spends those funds on subsidizing air service through the Fly Sun Valley Alliance and marketing flights through Visit Sun Valley.
The Air Service Board includes Ketchum Mayor Neil Bradshaw, Hailey Mayor Fritz Haemmerle and Sun Valley Mayor Peter Hendricks. Blaine County Commissioner Jacob Greenberg is a nonvoting member.
The proposed budget lists an expected revenue of $96,051 from Hailey’s 1 Percent local-option tax, $2,155,589 from Ketchum and $645,707 from Sun Valley.
The meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Hailey City Hall.
