Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin will recap the recently concluded session of the Legislature on Wednesday, April 24, at 1 p.m. in Golden Eagle.
McGeachin was elected to her first term as lieutenant governor in November. She presided over the Idaho Senate in the most recent session. McGeachin served 10 years in the Legislature prior to running for lieutenant governor.
The Blaine County Republican Women are hosting McGeachin at a meeting at the Golden Eagle Clubhouse, 200 S. Golden Eagle Dr.
“She’ll discuss what passed and what didn’t in the legislative session that ended on April 11,” a news release from the organization stated. “Topics of discussion will include Medicaid expansion, which passed, the hemp legislation, which didn’t make it to a vote, and the initiative process legislation that passed both the Senate and the House that was vetoed by Gov. Brad Little.”
