The annual Trailing of the Sheep Festival has been nominated by USA Today’s 10Best guide as one of the Best Fall Festivals in the United States. The Trailing of the Sheep Festival is currently fourth on the 10Best leaderboard, behind fall festivals in Indiana, Pennsylvania and New York.

     Enthusiasts who want to vote for the Trailing of the Sheep Festival as the Best Fall Festival can visit to cast their vote.

     The festival, celebrated each October in Ketchum since 1997, pays tribute to the history and culture of sheepherding in the Wood River Valley and surrounding region. The festivities include a parade, sheep dog demonstrations and a plethora of lamb-focused foods at local restaurants.
