A pair of new trustees will get an early jump on their term next, after the Blaine County School District’s board rescheduled its annual meeting for Monday, Jan 13.
Zone 1’s Amber Larna and Zone 3’s Keith Roark will take the oath of office at 6 p.m. at the Community Campus in Hailey, the district said Wednesday. As required by statute, the new board will elect officers, adopt a code of ethics and schedule regular meetings for the coming year.
Afterward, the trustees will switch to a regular meeting. The agenda includes two closed executive sessions, approval of financials and informational presentations.
Monday will kick off a busy spell for the trustees. They’ll follow the meeting with another executive session on Friday, a special public meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 6 p.m. to finish off January’s agenda and a trustee training session on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 9 a.m.
