The Hailey Planning and Zoning Commission will review a request today to amend city ordinances to allow multifamily and mixed-use dwellings on seven acres within the Technological Industry zone in the Airport West subdivision.

The proposed changes were submitted by 1020 Investments c/o Rick Ryerson and represented by Errin Bliss of Bliss Architecture. 1020 Investments is the owner of the complex at 1020 Business Park Drive, better known as the Hailey Business Park. The 36,286-square-foot parcel contains a two-story, 21,650-square-foot commercial building. The western half of the building is currently unoccupied, and includes a large lobby, first- and second-floor offices and a two-story shop space with overhead doors.

“Planning staff believes the existing building(s) may be retrofitted to accommodate Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) or dwellings within mixed-use buildings,” a city staff memo states. “This, however, could be determined on a case-by-case basis during the Plan and Building Permit Review process.”
