Fresh off a banner Nordic season, the Blaine County Recreation District is already eyeing the upcoming winter.

Passes for 2018-19 went on sale Monday, and adults who buy before Nov. 18 will save $50 on access to the BCRD’s 160 kilometers of groomed trails.

This year, that includes 13 new kilometers of grooming in Quigley Canyon, near Hailey. After five years in Croy Canyon, the BCRD plans to move its south valley system to the drainage east of Hailey in time for winter, according to Executive Director Jim Keating.

“We’re coming off our biggest season ever, in terms of length, and number of skiers,” Keating said. “We’re looking forward to picking up where we left off.”
