With River Run closed for the season, the Warm Springs base of Bald Mountain will carry Sun Valley through the end of the 2018-19 ski season this Sunday, April 21.

The celebration continues on the weekend with free live music from Powdersteering playing Saturday at the base lodge from 2-5 p.m., followed by Lounge on Fire on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Those shows fit between Sun Valley’s regular Easter activities at the resort, including the annual Easter egg hunt in the village, which kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday.

An inch of snow overnight Monday freshened the slopes of Bald Mountain in advance of closing weekend. As of Tuesday morning, the resort claimed 50 inches of snow at the base, and 70 at the summit, with Challenger, Greyhawk and Christmas lifts spinning.
