The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office is reminding residents to choose the correct restraint for children, infants to 7 years old, during the safety week, Sept. 15-21.
“The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office recognizes the importance of preventing child deaths and injuries by keeping them buckled up in an appropriate car seat or using a seat belt,” the Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page states.
Parents can take their car seats to a safety check at St. Luke’s Wood River Hailey Clinic on Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. to make sure it is installed properly, and the right size for their children. Those interested may register by calling 208-381-9000, or online. For other car seat inspection locations visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website.
