The Sun Valley Music Festival—formerly the Sun Valley Summer Symphony—announced this week that it will be reprising its winter season this February.
Last February, the free-to-attend musical festival held its first-ever winter program at the Argyros Performing Arts Center in Ketchum. Guests enjoyed a reprieve from the blustery chill of the season for a comfortable evening of top-class orchestral performance.
The 2020 lineup will elaborate upon 2019’s with a full week of events, including lectures, demonstrations and education programs, eventually culminating in three public concerts between Thursday, Feb. 27, and Saturday, Feb. 29.
The concerts will feature several different styles and modes, exhibiting the full versatility of this world-class symphony.
Performances will be free, as usual, but because space at the Argyros is limited, reservations can be fulfilled online at svmusicfestival.org. Reservations will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18. It is advised that interested parties act promptly in securing their seats, as last year’s seats sold out in a matter of just a few hours.
