Fifth-graders and their parents have a choice for middle school in the Blaine County School District, and this week they can check out both options with a pair of scheduled open houses.
The Ernest Hemingway STEAM School in Ketchum will welcome families today, Jan. 13, from 5:30-7 p.m. Wood River Middle School in Hailey will play host on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 5:30-7 p.m.
Both middle schools have the same attendance boundaries, meaning they’re open to students countywide. Due to space restrictions at Hemingway, the sixth-grade class will be filled through a weighted lottery. (For more on that process, click here.)
Pre-registration forms are due to classroom teachers by Friday, Jan 17.
