Ketchum’s overall local-option tax receipts climbed 8.7 percent from December 2018 to December 2019, from $323,266 to $351,426.

     Retail receipts, which exclude grocery items, were up 6 percent in December—for a total of $231,141—compared with 2018’s collection of $218,058.

     Room receipts also jumped up a similar percentage, from $22,787 to $24,273. Condominium receipts increased by around $3,000, from $30,158 in 2018 to $33,616—a 9.9 percent increase—and liquor receipts increased 17 percent, from $28,288 in 2018 to $33,084 in 2019.

Of all categories, building material receipts showed the greatest improvement at a nearly 25 percent increase: $23,536 in December 2018, compared with $29,313 this past December.
