St. Luke’s Wood River hospital is remodeling its kitchen, due to necessary plumbing upgrades and repairs. Operations will be impacted as follows:
The kitchen will be closed to all staff and public Saturday, Nov. 23, and Sunday, Nov. 24. Food service will be available for patient services only. Patient-care operations will be unaffected.
On Monday, Nov. 25, through Sunday, Dec. 8, kitchen service will be limited. The grill will be closed. The soup, salad and a few hot-food stations will be located in the seating area of the café. Grab-and-go items, including bottled beverages, will be located where the hot-food stations are normally located inside the kitchen area. Coffee will be available, but the soda fountains will not.
Water dispensers will be available but people can also refill bottles from other sources throughout the hospital.
