The state Attorney General’s Office has announced that a new website from the Internet Crimes Against Children unit launched on Nov. 1 will provide resources and education tools to parents and kids on the potential risks associated with being online.

According to Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden, the new website offers materials designed for adults, as well as resources that address children directly.

“The internet and devices like smartphones and tablets are tremendous in that they give us access to information like never before,” Wasden said. “But they can also facilitate unwanted contact between our children and some of society’s worst actors.”

Featured content includes online safety rules for younger kids, as well as links to expert national organizations such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
