The Wood River Land Trust will celebrate its 25th anniversary with the premier of “Home,” a short film about the valley, at the Argyros Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 5:30 p.m.
Board Member Sarah Michael told the Idaho Mountain Express that the movie “highlights the places that we call ‘home,’ including some of the thousands of acres of special places and our rivers and streams that the Land Trust has protected.” It is narrated by Mariel Hemingway, who grew up in Ketchum.
A reception and discussion on the Land Trust’s long-term plans will follow, Michael said.
Since its establishment in 1994, the Wood River Land Trust has secured 45 conservation easements totaling 13,235 acres, transferred 12,209 acres to public entities and set up 14 preserves throughout the county.
The screening is free, but seating is limited. RSVP by calling the Land Trust at 208-788-3947.
