Beginning Jan. 21, the Ketchum-based Environmental Resource Center will offer “Science After School,” a program for fourth- and fifth-graders, at Alturas Elementary School in Hailey. The six-week program involves students with the natural environment through outdoor adventures and exploration.

     The program convenes on Tuesdays from 2:15-4 p.m., ending on Feb. 25. The theme will be winter environment. All materials for the program will be provided, along with snacks.

     The free series encourages participants to explore their local environment and engage in hands-on projects relating to natural science and sustainability.
