Blaine County is hosting a public meeting devoted to flood preparation in Carey tonight, May 8.

     The meeting will be devoted specifically to unincorporated area residents who live in areas at risk for flooding, or are dealing with the effect of flooding that started over the weekend.

     Topics include:

  • Flood preparedness
  • Property owner responsibility
  • Emergency response
  • Local resources
  • Utilities
  • And a question-and-answer session.

     The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Carey City Hall. More information about flood preparedness is available online at www.blaineemergency.org.
