A search firm hired to find a replacement for retired Wood River Fire & Rescue Chief Bart Lassman has announced that after 42 applications received, four applicants are moving forward in the hiring process.
Prothman Company, hired by the Wood River Fire & Rescue Board of Fire Commissioners, announced on Monday that there would be four applicants coming to Hailey next month for a public meet-and-greet, followed by a panel interview.
The meeting will be on Nov. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Community Campus in Hailey.
Sean Grinnell has a bachelor’s degree in fire administration from Cogswell Polytechnical College and an associate degree in Fire Science from Santa Rosa Junior College. He has been fire chief for the Bodega Fire Protection District in California since 2002.
Robert Ladd has a bachelor’s degree in business from Eastern Washington University and an associate degree in fire science from Spokane Community College. He was most recently deputy chief of training for the Spokane Fire Department in Washington.
Parker Lathrop has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Colorado. He is currently deputy fire chief and fire marshal for the Aspen Fire Protection District in Colorado. He has been with the district for 17 years.
Jack Neiman-Kimel has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fort Lewis College and a master’s degree in leadership theory from Saint Mary’s College. He has been a battalion chief with the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department in California since 2011.
