Ray Gadd, the former marketing coordinator for Visit Sun Valley, is now the organization’s marketing director.
“Ray’s leadership and work ethic are second only to his passion for our community,” Visit Sun Valley Executive Director Scott Fortner said in a statement.
Gadd was one of a handful of board and staff changes announced by the organization on Sunday.
Fortner also expressed gratitude to Olin Glenne, who is stepping down as chairman of the Visit Sun Valley board of directors.
In his leadership role, Glenne—owner of Sturtevants ski shops in Ketchum and Hailey—helped strengthen the connection between Visit Sun Valley and local business leaders, the marketing alliance stated. Glenne will remain on the board as the Ketchum city representative.
Both Diann Craven and Candice Pate have been named co-chairs of the Visit Sun Valley board, and Mike Burchmore is also joining the board as a new Sun Valley city representative.
Craven has worked with many start-up companies, midsize businesses and Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. and globally, the release said. Locally, Craven sits on the newly formed Wood River Valley Tourism Coalition.
According to the organization, Pate was previously interim chief marketing officer at Visit Sun Valley and currently directs the Sun Valley Film Festival.
Burchmore, like Craven and Pate, has also served on various committees, including the Blaine County Education Foundation and the Blaine County Recreation District.
“I’m glad to have such a dynamic, well-rounded board of directors guide us as we raise awareness and promotion of Sun Valley,” Fortner said.
Visit Sun Valley was founded as the Sun Valley Marketing Alliance in 2011 through a joint project involving the Sun Valley Resort, the city of Ketchum and the city of Sun Valley.
