On Thursday, Jan. 28, Sun Valley Ski Patrol presented the staff of Higher Ground a check for $1,530 as a donation toward its One Up campaign. Higher Ground launched the campaign on Dec. 1 with a goal of raising $25,000 to give participants the opportunity to spend more time on Bald and Dollar mountains with the organization’s adaptive instructors.

“There’s a gap between the funds we receive and the goals we have set for the growth of our program,” Executive Director Kate Weihe said. “We are reaching out to our community and beyond for additional support.”

The organization stated that every $25 donated supports an additional hour of time for a participant to spend in a therapeutic recreation lesson.
