The local chapter of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, relaunches its Weekly Connection Support Group on Thursday, Dec. 8, at a new time and location.
The ongoing support group will meet at the Sun Club in Hailey, 731 North First Ave., every Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m.
NAMI Connection support group is a weekly recovery support group for people living with mental illness in which people learn from each other’s experiences, share coping strategies, and offer each other encouragement and understanding. Three new facilitators, recently trained by a national trainer from Boston, will be leading the group.
NAMI also announced that its national Family-to-Family Program will take place Jan. 31 to March 9. The program is a free, 12-session educational program for families, significant others and friends of people living with mental illness.
