The Hunger Coalition will host a Bloom Farm Potluck on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The Bloom Farm is at the eastern end of Quigley Road and is accessed by way of Fox Acres Road on the way to Wood River High School.

Participants are invited to bring a favorite dish to share, take a stroll through the farm and celebrate community. Activities will include rock painting and a basket-weaving demonstration by Manon Gaudreau, co-manager of the Wood River Seed Library. Gaudreau will explain how to make a basket from shrub and tree prunings, starting at 5:40 p.m.

The Bloom Farm and Hope Garden, in downtown Hailey beside the Old County Courthouse, offer a Volunteer for Veggies Program that allows participants to work in the garden in exchange for a share of fresh, local produce harvested on site.

The September Volunteer for Veggies Program schedule is:

     Mondays:  Hope Garden, 10-11 a.m.

Tuesdays:  Bloom Community Farm, 5-6 p.m.

Thursdays: The Hope Garden, 5-6 p.m.

Saturdays: Bloom Community Farm, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
