The Wood River Chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society invites you to a talk by Paul Ries, retired Associate Deputy Chief with the US Forest Service and former Area Ranger on the Sawtooth NRA. This presentation will take place via Zoom. Paul will talk about some of his experiences as a volunteer Forester in Mongolia. His talk will provide an overview of some of the more critical challenges facing Mongolia’s forests in the area around the capital city of Ulaanbaatar and he will highlight how climate change is affecting the forests, the people, and their interdependence.
