Summer’s End, Hailey’s new season-concluding music festival is just a week away, but the events and celebrations leading up to the main attraction begin Tuesday, Aug. 20.
The Road to Summer’s End series will offer free live music performances at various venues around the valley, beginning Tuesday with a musical trifecta at The Red Shoe in Hailey. The Mia Edsall Band, Woven and Hurdy Gurdy Girls will kick off the proceedings at 6 p.m., playing well on into the night.
On Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Warfield Brewery in Ketchum, Van Lavish will perform live. The performance has no cover charge for admission.
The Road to Summer’s End continues through Friday, and the festival begins Saturday. More than a dozen musical acts are taking part in the main festival, including Shook Twins, Hillstomp, Pixie and the Partygrass Boys, Lounge on Fire and The Weary Times.
