The city of Ketchum is hosting a celebration of local Olympic athletes Thursday evening, May 9, in Town Square.

The event begins at 5 p.m. and Blaine County Commissioner Dick Fosbury—a gold medalist in the high jump in the 1968 Olympics—will emcee. The event will honor Jake Adicoff, a two-time Paralympian, Jasmine Campbell, who competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics, Chase Josey, who placed sixth in the snowboarding halfpipe event in the 2018 Winter Olympics, and Hilary Knight, who helped win a gold medal for the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team in the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Their names will be featured on panels that will be unveiled during the event.

“This is a chance to honor Jake, Jasmine, Chase and Hilary and celebrate the inspiration they provide to the next generation of athletes,” Mayor Neil Bradshaw said.
