Award-winning author and environmental activist Rick Bass, the current visiting distinguished writer at Boise State University, will visit The Community Library in Ketchum on Friday, May 3, from 4-5:30 p.m. for a special reading with some of his graduate students.

Bass teaches fiction in the MFA Program in Creative Writing with Professor Mitch Wieland. The works presented at the library will represent the culmination of a semester’s worth of writing and workshopping.

Bass is the author of more than 25 books of fiction and nonfiction, including “The Heart of the Monster,” “The Wild Marsh: Four Seasons at Home in Montana,” “All the Land That Holds Us” and “Why I Came West.”

The event is free and open to the public. Visit comlib.org for details.
