The Hailey Arts and Historic Preservation Commission has released a formal call for artists to submit proposals for a permanent mural designated for the north wall of Jane’s Artifacts on Main Street in Hailey.

Applicants must be full-time residents of Idaho, but otherwise there are no demographical restrictions.

Interested artists should submit a maximum of 10 digital images representing past artwork, a one-page cover letter or artist statement and a current résumé by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 21. Late applications will not be accepted.

The successful proposal—which will receive a $1,500 compensation for the project—will capture either the essence of life in Hailey or the rich history of the area. Artists are encouraged to get creative.
