Cheryl Strayed, bestselling author of “Wild” will speak at the Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood tomorrow night, Thursday, Jan. 30. That engagement has been sold out for several months.

For those who want a little more Strayed in their lives, though, Company of Fools will produce two staged readings of “Tiny Beautiful Things,” based upon another work by Strayed and adapted for the theater by Oscar nominee Nia Vardalos, writer of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.”

The New York Times described the play as “an ideal catharsis” and “a handkerchief-soaking meditation on pain, loss, hope and forgiveness.”

Company of Fools will perform it twice at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey, first at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, and then at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2.

The readings, directed by Andrew Alburger, will star K.O. Ogilvie, Chris Carwithen, Melodie Mauldin and Russell Wilson. Both showings are free, though a $10 donation is encouraged and audience members are encouraged to reserve a seat via
